The International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery shall support the improvement of patient care thorough the international facilitation of:

• The establishment of patient care standards
• Research
• Professional communication

• La création de modèles (standards) pour la promotion des soins de santé.

• La recherche.

• Les échanges professionnels.

Die Internationale Gesellschaft für Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie strebt an, die Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgen in aller Welt zu repräsentieren.

Die Internationale Gesellschaft für Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie trägt zur Verbesserung der Patientenbetreuung durch die internationale Standardisierung folgender Punkte bei:

• die Erarbeitung und Verabschiedung von Richtlinien für die Aus-, Weiter- und Fortbildung

• die Implementierung von Richtlinien für die Patientenversorgung

• Forschung

• professionellen Austausch
